An alle Kurzentschlossenen – geht hin!

Man weiss nicht so recht, erwartet einem was saures, was süsses? Feel refreshing, „Feel Better“!

Surfing lemonade!

Jeez, what kind of music is it? Damn good music, I thought! Adding a touch Surf, a touch refreshing lemonade and a pinch of rosemary. An outrageously good combination! Through the German booking agency Poj Poj I came across this refreshing band from Geneva. Yes you read it correctly, Geneva! I was quite amazed about this. My assumption automatically applies to an Australian group, which hanging all day at the beach and making music. But this isn’t the case. Instead their hanging out at Lac Léman (equally beautiful). Nelson Schär, Robin Girod and Pierre-Henri Beyrière are Duck Duck Grey Duck. They released their first EP Here Come a year ago – why the hell I didn’t discovered the three then? I scour the internet – this guys had to play in Zurich. No, respectively yes and no.  As it seems to be a coincidence, they play today at Helsinki in Zurich. To all spontaneous people out there – just go!

Which track is my favorite? Hard to say, they’re all good – sounds flat, but this isn’t so. I have to take a decision I’m writing a track review article. Drum roll… it’s Mama Do not Mind! The three components reflect this song the most. The voice provides the touch of surf feeling. You’re putting your board into the car, driving from each beach to another beaches, looking for the right wave. The guitar provides the breath of fresh lemonade. You’re not sure what awaits you, something sour, something sweet? No, it’s simply refreshing! The drums provides the pinch of rosemary. Slightly spicy, slightly bitter and last but not least a little hot. But without Rosemary the song wouldn’t be the same. Crappy is now only that I really want to have a big menu. But here isn’t one – so I have to listen more of DDGF songs! Feel refreshing, „Feel Better“!
