Silvester ist vorbei, 2016 steht an. Ich bin ein absoluter anti Silvester Mensch – dieses Pseudo-Getue geht mir sowas von auf den Senkel! Es ist ein Tag wie jeder andere, nur die Jahreszahl ändert sich?! Warum also so ein Geheule darum machen? Jedem das seine – früher musste ich zu Silvester immer arbeiten, seit zwei Jahren in Folge nun nicht mehr und ich finde es echt beschissen. Kann man halt nichts machen wenn die Bude geschlossen bleibt. Nach meinem tollen Abend gestern suchte ich heute, dem ersten Tag im Jahr Heiland Schottland, nach einem Song der eine passende Melodie und Lyrics hat. Da musste ich ehrlich gesagt nicht suchen, nicht nachdenken, sondern einfach nur Play drücken! Es handelt sich um die isländische Band Kaleo mit ihrem Track Way Down We Go. Zu Beginn sanft, mit der Stimme von Jökull Júlíusson und den Drums von Davíð Antonsson. Langsam aber stetig baut sich der Song auf – dieses Wehmütige aber dennoch Treibende im Song, hat mich von Anfang an in den Bann gezogen. Ich bin bekannt für meine happy Songs, doch wie ihr seht, auch ich habe verschiedene Genres die mir zusagen. Jökull Júlíusson, Davíð Antonsson und Daníel Ægir Kristjánsson spielen schon seit der Grundschule zusammen, im Jahr 2012 kam der Gitarrist Rubin Pollock dazu – Kaleo war geboren! Ich bin äusserst erfreut über ihre Bandgründung und werde mich im 2016 weiterhin den Songs von ihnen hingeben. Feel wistful, „Feel Better“!

Ah, a new year – how exciting…!
New Year is over, 2016 begins. I’m an absolute anti New Year’s Eve dude – this pseudo fuss just annoys me. It’s a day like any other, only the year changes?! So why all are doing a hype about it? To each his own – I used to work on New Year’s Eve, for two years in a row I don’t have to anymore and I think it’s really crappy. Can’t do anything when the company is closed. After my great night yesterday I was looking for today, the first day of the year OMG, after a song of a suitable melody and lyrics. I didn’t looking for it, don’t even think, but simply press play! It’s the Icelandic band Kaleo with their track Way Down We Go. At the beginning gently, with the voice of Jökull Júlíusson and drums by Davíð Antonsson. Slowly but steadily, the song builds it up – this Wistful but driving song, has raised me from the very beginning in the spell. I’m known for my happy songs, but as you can see, I also listen to different genres. Jökull Júlíusson, Davíð Antonsson and Daníel Ægir Kristjánsson been playing together since elementary school, in 2012 the guitarist Rubin Pollock joined – Kaleo was born! I’m extremely pleased with their band founding and I’ll continue to indulge in the songs of them in the 2016th. Feel wistful, „Feel Better“!
